OH set to refocus after recent defeat.
By Feliz Navidad

“Remember remember the 25 of November - don’t forget how crap it feels to lose at the fortress ” was the sentiment that ran through the OH gentlemen in the sheds after the they suffered a frustrating loss against an inform Streatham-Croydon squad.

Having not lost a game at home during the regular season the OH team was shocked by the result.

From the sideline there were snippets of magical combinations resulting in some impressive forward tries. With prop (and worlds strongest man - recently featured on channel 5) Max Kenny-Herbert, fill in prop Hominic Diggins and number 8 Hu“should I stay or should I”go all getting some impressive meat throughout the match. The resident birthday boy and northern representative William “bullet” Taylor kicked the pill through the sticks a few times to add some extra points.

The other standout performance was that of Max Hamid, who was in absolutely everything. Continually causing turnovers and not giving away penalties unlike some. One young rooster found himself on the wrong side of the reff and on top of the halfback after the ball was clearly out and fair game. Unfortunately the reff saw it differently so shower club enthusiast , Hominic Diggins was sent to rest for 10 long minutes I’m the bin.

Unfortunately, for the OH lads the snippets of champagne Rugby were were too few and far between. The Croydon boys were able to capitalise on set plays from the base of a very strong scrum which resulted in them having scored more points by the end of the 80 mins.

To add insult to injury, good bloke Danny P had to have his jersey cut of him due to popping his right shoulder out. Thankfully after a few attempts and some drugs the paramedics were able to pop it back into place.

It was certainly a tough day at the office for the OH men and moral was low after the game.

In the post match interview on sky sports the OH DOR and resident Mark Strong lookalike said “I have full confidence that the men of OHRFC will have the resilience and strength of character to be able to bounce back from this loss. I am excited to see them come out the the gate firing at the next game and by golly I am keen for the Christmas party on Saturday 9 December 2017.”

Well there you have it chaps. Remember to keep your boots clean and your laces tight.

Feliz Navidad
