Club History

The Old Haileyburians RFC (OHRFC) is over a hundred years old, making it one of the oldest old boy clubs in the country. It is the old boys rugby club of Haileybury and Imperial Service College www.haileybury.com

Although the club has had to adapt to the modern era of league and cup rugby it still holds on to the corinthian spirit of the game and prides itself on being a welcoming and sociable environment for players and guests.

The club is run by present and former players whose aim is to maintain this ethos whilst also being successful on the pitch.

The OHRFC has endured some very hard times during its history, in particular losing many players during both world wars, but has manged to thrive and become a long established participant in the Surrey leagues. Through the generous donation from a former player we have our own ground twenty minutes from South West London and regularly run two teams during the course of the season.

The club recognises that in the modern era it is not possible to rely purely on Old Haileyburians as players and so it welcomes anyone, at any level, who would like to play. The majority of players are based in South West London and meet regularly in the Alma pub, Old York Road, Wandsworth Town.
